Existing Caller ID customers will be converted to Caller ID Plus Name Service at no charge. Filed June 1, 2001, with a requested effective date of July 1, 2001. Approved

D-3145 – VERIZON SELECT SERVICES INC. – Deletes all consumer and small business long distance products. These services were transferred to Verizon Long Distance Inc. under a previous filing. Filed June 15, 2001, with a requested effective date of June 20, 2001. Approved

LEGAL DIVISION

DOCKET 27606(F) – In re: Rules for Buying Customers. FCC Rules have now been adopted.

DOCKET 27495(F) – APSC v. Delinquent Companies. Certificate of Atlantic Telephone Company, Inc. was revoked in June 2000 for failure to pay Inspection and Supervision fees. Fees for 2000 and 2001 tendered.

RECOMMEND: Assessment of $300 penalty and reinstatement

DOCKET 27909(F) – John Byrd, Jr. v. OAN Services, Inc. Mr. Byrd has filed a Motion to Reconsider the Commission's Order dated May 16, 2001. Replies have been filed by Verizon South and OAN.

RECOMMEND: Denial

DOCKET 28030(G) – Application of Telephone Associates, Inc. for a Certificate to provide Toll Resale Telecommunications Services in the State of Alabama. Hearing held. The Attorney General of Alabama intervened and participated in the hearing as did Commission staff.

RECOMMEND: Grant

DOCKET 25980(G) – Universal Services Proceeding. The Rural Task Force recommendation being implemented by the FCC requires the Commission to certify funding expenditures plans for Alabama's Rural LECs as well as the state's Non-Rural LECs.

RECOMMEND: Issuance of an order requiring Alabama Rural LEC's to submit USF expenditure plans for 2002.

DOCKET 28091(G) – Generic Proceeding to Consider Terms and Conditions for Collocation. This matter arises from the Commission's decision in the BellSouth/Intermedia arbitration to formally establish a generic investigation into the terms and conditions that should be established for collocation.
